John Bell is the world’s most passionate advocate for congregational singing. He is a much sought after and accomplished musician, hymn writer, and expert in worship renewal through song. John lives in Glasgow and is ordained in the Church of Scotland. He lectures, preaches, and conducts seminars across Europe, North America, Australasia, and Africa, often as a keynote speaker at events such as the World Council of Churches Assembly and the Festival of Homiletics. John survives without cell phone, driver’s licence, or computer. He has never eaten a Big Mac. His work has been honoured by the Royal School of Church Music, the Hymn Society in the United States and Canada, and the University of Glasgow, where he received an Honorary Doctorate.
